this past thanksgiving was not the way i planned. we had just moved to texas just days prior and my house was full of boxes. we ate at a joint around the corner. good food, but not thanksgiving dinner by any means. at the time, it was fine for the moment. see, we can never predict where we'll be or how convenient it is to have a thanksgiving dinner -right? don't get me wrong, being with my family was the lovely part, but the "thanksgiving experience" as i love to have, just was not there.
so i got to thinking, why do we have to wait for that one day a year to have that "thanksgiving experience"? i can have thanksgiving whenever i want. so from now on, thursday nights are now going to be dedicated to "the lost thanksgiving", where we sit together and share what we're thankful for, even if it's over a bowl of chili! every week we have something new to be thankful for, right? it may help with those nights when "you just had a bad day". it will take the edge off.
i may start listing what we come up with each week here at the treehouse and call them "thanksgiving thursdays" wow, i am so clever!what am i thankful for? come back next thursday and find out. what are YOU thankful for?
