a quickie!

get your minds out of the gutter......

all i want to say is something quick and i'll try and come back sooner than later to start writing around here again.

i have been exploring the past 2 days, just getting to know my new neighborhood. i like what i have been finding. something for the little ones and i also stumbled upon something that always speaks to my soul.. helping others. i just discovered a cause that helps those that need a coat to keep them warm, guess what it's called? "one warm coat", i know, that simple, huh?

so i pulled up their website: http://onewarmcoat.org/

i love what it said. of course now i want to get involved! i have been looking for something like this since, well, a long time. i stay home with the little ones and i love my job more than life, but i often think of the days when they start school, "what will i do with my extra time?".. i want to be involved in their schooling, absolutely (if that's the route they go) but i want to do something outside of that, not for me, but for those that are in need. my mother is a huge giving person and has always loved helping others, so i guess the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree. oh, i love trees.. anyway, so along with some other fantastic ideas that i have stirring for the near future, i know i want to be involved with not about making money, but being there for those that don't have any money and share with those less fortunate.

anyway, when you get a chance and if something like this touches you the way it does me, then take a look at their website and find a way that you can help. there is no better season to help others then the one we're in right now. winter, spring, summer or fall -someone can always use a helping hand. by yourself, together with your family, friends or co-workers, you can be there for those that need you.

I think it's so important to give to others and contribute to your community, and there are so many great ways to do that. This sounds like a great cause!

i found it posted on the window of a music store while scanning places for guitar lessons. i loved the coat drawing and so i wrote it down and was curious to know what it meant. it was like a mysterious little find. i have way too many coats and they need to be shared.
