Goldfish In A Pond!

Put a small serving of light cream cheese into a bowl.
Mix in a tiny drop of blue food coloring and stir.
Spread onto a rice cake.
Top with fishie crackers.

Hey there, Little Guy!

Last night, he took his first step. Towards Mama of course.
We'll keep you posted as to when he braves another....

Where have I been?

Not purposely, have I vacated this place. My deepest apologies. My laptop has a virus and it is out of service for a while. A trusted friend is going to repair it, so for now, I have found a way to at least be able to blog. For the next few weeks, I'm going to use my cell phone to text in postings. It won't be too fancy, as I have limited use with this option. But lately, simple is better for me. I've kinda enjoyed being offline, it's a big responsibility to keep up with everything online; Facebook, email, Blogs, etc. BUT, I do miss the easy and quick online to check something on google. Can't have it all I guess. But really, I am enjoying and appreciating the more simplistic way of living. Less distractions when all you have is what is right in front of you (physically, not virtually). So, my advice to you guys, unplug when you can and try this out. You might find that YOU like it too.

How have you all been? Getting ready for Summer? Oh, I know Spring is here, but honestly, does Spring really last long enough for us to really enjoy it as we know it? I love Spring, it's kinda that breath of fresh air season, lasting long enough for us to breathe in and say ahhhhhhhh! So plant those flowers and trees and whatever else your little heart desires. Just remember, our planet will love you more for every little seed or plant you add to it's soil. Earth day was on the 22nd of this month and it was nice to see and hear about how many people are actually getting involved and celebrating EARTH DAY.
We went to the library for a children's "Story Time" and the kids were read to about Recycling. After the Story Time was over, we checked out the book that was read to us, to make sure to RECYCLE. Every day I think of a new way to keep the cycle going. I try to find some sort of use for everything I buy, so I am throwing away less, not to become a clutter bug or a pack rat, but you know a jug of water or orange juice makes a great watering can!
Here is a test photo upload from my cell. I am so excited if this works. New things around the Treehouse if it does. Sorry so out of touch lately -I have ongoing computer issues. I miss my blog! Been keeping my updates fresh by Twittering. You can follow them to the right of this post. Much love, Mama Bear

I am trying to set up a way to post messages and photos by using my cell. Lets cross our fingers that this will work!

Brother bear rings in his first year! Choo Choo!!!

There's never enough children to fill a home.......
The joys of being a mother.

cake decorated by Mama bear out of pure love and vision.

My great grandfather worked on the railroad, so not only am I proud of my family history -it just so happened to become a catchy little nickname that Brother bear inherited and it just stuck.. So HAPPY HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY CHUGGY CHUGGY CHOO CHOO!

Here's to celebrating many many more in our future...... I promise to give you nothing but good times, good food, good music and more love to surround you than you can handle!

Beautiful Spring day filled our backyard and the little ones loved it....

Sweet child.

Our Sweet Tooth!

They enjoyed some games too! Pin the "1" on the Choo Choo! It seemed alot easier to cheat, not sure why? But this round of kids chose to go that route. So they were all winners and got prizes to go with their innocent cheating habits. Every child is a winner in my house!

Brother bear's birthday was March 30th and his party was delayed a week because he got sick the night before his party, so we pushed it out a week on April 5th. Sickness or a natural disaster will never stop us from putting on a good time and celebrating!

Who's next? My planning wheels are already turning.

Take it easy..

.. .on me. i've been away for a couple weeks -took a longer "spring break" than i had planned. i'm an adult now, so i'm allowed to make these kinda decisions. where did i go? i left the country. no not really, just took a bit of a break from getting online every free moment. instead, i spent lots of quality time with my children and gave me some "me time". which i never do. it felt fantastic!

how many emails are in my inbox? more than i want to know about.

i keep avoiding my inbox, like a bad neighbor, i drive into my garage and lower the door as quickly as i can before they look my way. same with facebook lately. i have over 100 notifications. i used to care about keeping up with them.

now, i look at them like my old junk drawer at my desk job many moons ago, where i was supposed to actually have some sorta filing system, instead, i'd just take whatever papers my boss would give me and i'd shove them into this top drawer as if i was going to file them in that folder that said....."this is where it goes" instead they went into the file folder that invisibly said, "not sure when we'll see you again".

i guess i just would rather do something else these days. do you ever feel like this? gosh, the more i stay away though, the harder it is to reel me back in.

just had brother bear's "first birthday party" today -it was a BLAST! but the anticipation and planning are over. kinda quiet now. -in my mind.

i figure, since i've been gone for a while, you may want to see what i've been up to. so expect some random posts of photos. everyone likes to look thru photos. i'll leave you with some photos from the past couple of days with the grandparents........

ok, enjoy those for a while.

i'm like a bad parent who bribes her kids with candy. isn't it sweet?
